Oceanographers say sea level is likely to rise 2 to 4 feet by 2100. See B. P. Horton (2014) in the journal "Quaternary Science Reviews," where 90 oceanographers were consulted. A rise of that magnitude will be big trouble for Miami, but not so much for me. Although I live within 4 minutes' walk from the ocean in FL, the base of my building is 20 feet above today's sea level, so a major subsidence here is not like to come soon. Over the coming decades, if climate predictions are borne out, people will gradually have to make adjustments.
