Is it true that you cannot kill a snake until you chop off the head?

    If you chop off the head, the head can still bite for a short time. So be careful.

    Not at all. Grabbing one near the tail and snapping it like a whip does it quickly - - provided that it doesn't grab you first.

    Lol, snakes are not some mythical supernatural creature from Hell. They are reptiles like lizards and turtles. Would you ask the same about a lizard or turtle?

    No. Snakes die and get killed all the time, their head fully attached to their body. I can kill a snake by whipping it really hard at a concrete wall. I can kill a snake by dropping it in boiling water. I can kill a snake by leaving it in an airtight container long enough. All of these ways of killing a snake does nothing in the way of decapitation.

    I mean, you do know snakes aren't magical. They're just animals. They can die in the same myriad ways everything can.
