i think this is a combination of Sun, and probably more than just her Sun ,in a Cardinal sign ... plus being materialistic and also unhappy (unhappy people tend to look outside of themselves, to try to find happiness).
Generally, the person who is most likely to be an opportunist is the person who has a more of their 10 planets in Cardinal Signs, than in Fixed or Mutable Signs.
What you are calling someone's"Sign" is only their Sun's sign. Everyone has 10 planets, of which Sun is only one. And all of these planets .. well, most of them will NOT be in the same Sign as their Sun is in.
So you need to look at the individual birthchart, (calculated by a website for free, based on the day-month-year of birth, the exact hour-minute of birth and the birthplace).
HOW many of those 10 planets are in Cardinal Signs?
And do they mostly make harmonious "aspects" with other planets or are the aspects mostly discordant?\
Someone may be a "Capricorn" (meaning they were born while Sun was moving through Capricorn), but if none of their other 9 planets are in Cardinal Signs (Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, Libra), then there will hardly be Cardinal-like at all.
Those 3 Qualities represent how someone handles situations. Look to see which Quality THAT person has the MOST planets in:
Cardinal Signs see opportunities and take advantage of them. They change the situation. Positively, they are the "movers and shakers" who make things happen. Negatively, they might be too manipulative.
Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) respond by waiting for the situation to change. They resist change, but that is also the source of their great inner strength and perseverance.
Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) handle situations by seeking to change themselves instead. This makes them very flexible and adaptable ... and talented at growing and healing inwardly, but trying to figure out how to change CAN sometimes result in a lot of worry or indecision or changeability.
