Probably, but the future is very hard to predict (I thought Apple and Microsnot were just fads!). Desktops have been popular, especially inside companies, for a few decades (I got my first one in 1989). While laptops have come a long way since my 1999 model Dell Latitude, they are fragile compared to a desktop and almost useless for heavy tasks. Video editing, massive numbers of monitors, and very fast games are for desktops, not laptops. Not seeing much of a change for a while.
25 years ago, my college class CADD students would ask about the future of computers. I would reply "Implanted at birth. But upgrades are painful."
