Are Neanderthals different from Homo erectus in the same way that Chinese people are different Greek people?

Are Homo erectus and Neanderthals different ethnicity?

No. H. neanderthalensis had a brain as large as ours. H. erectus includes very primitive ancestors to ones that were near H. heidelbergensis and relatively smart but still not as big brained as neanderthals. There were different groups of Neanderthals and maybe they had regional differences that were similar.

    Nooooooooooo.

HE and Neanderthals didn't interbreed. HE went extinct in Asia before the rise of Neanderthals in the west.

I'm not sure whether ethnicity (language &culture) existed back then. They were the same species, but different races. Like wolves and dogs

No, they're very similar, but different species like a horse and donkey.

I think a better analogy might be Zebras and wild Mustangs.
