My toilet keeps running. How do I fix it?

    Well turn off the tap next to the flush tank or in the wall if you have such a system and wait or you have to call the plumber or buy a book how to repair it, but the latter need not have possible methods for you or you need not succeed

    unscrew the ball that floats just one or maybe 1/2 turn... this will force the ball to go higher and therefore forcing the seal tighter on the toilet bowl

    Check the flapper and the chain. Both are fairly easy and cheap to replace.

    For less than $20 you can replace the fill valve and the flapper. That will fix 98% of that type of problem. It's a pretty easy job. Look for youtube

    Bring up YouTube and search for 'Fixing a running toilet'. Then watch 2 or 3 of the videos and learn from them.

    The fill valve assembly and change the flapper while your at it, they are cheap parts.
