Thoughts on this 2008 ABC News show predicting that New York City would be under water by 2015, gas is $9/gallon, & milk is $13 per gallon?

Check out the 60 second YouTube video. There's a time lapse shot showing New York starting to be significantly covered with water.

Does anyone actually remember the show? It was a documentary full of interviews and actual news footage. The only twist was them trying to sell it as some type of science fiction. The show had one actress. It was a woman narrator who made her voice sound like a computer. She narrated a bunch of comic book-like graphics.

The full "cast" was full of scientists, lawyers, and government employees. And guess what they were doing in this "movie" No, they were not acting. They were giving interviews. They even had political science professors playing themselves in their "movie."

If you didn't see Earth 2100, then check out the full "cast," which is mostly scientists, lawyers, and government employees!

I guess it was so mesmerizing that IMBD called all the real life interviewees a "cast." So next time you watch PBS's NOVA or Nature, I will expect that all their zoologists and astronomers be listed in the credits as playing themselves.

I didn't see the show, but as I understand it the idea was that various experts were asked to speculate on a "worst case" scenario, and that is what the show was about. It was neither a prediction nor a documentary--even your own source lists it as a "TV Movie".

You can't possibly expect liberals to remember some hysterical prediction made 11 years ago.

Nobody knows the future and the media tends to be overly emotional and dramatic. Those are my thoughts.

That show was speculative fiction on a worst case future Earth, it was not a news show. It was supposedly told by a storyteller looking back from the year 2100.

News flash: the events of Planet of the Apes, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and 1984 did not come to pass, either.

Perhaps we should go back and blame Jules Verne and H.G. Wells for their speculative fiction also.

LOL, you're right about that Climate Realist, but what I meant was in 1984 it didn't come to pass. Many of the things in this movie will probably come to pass at a later date also.

At this time Hansen's Alarmists were riding "high in their loafers" and anything they said was " gospel". A year later 2009 Climategate hit putting a chink in their armor and it is gone downhill ever since.

Today, the Polar Bear population is exploding, Greenland and the Arctic ice is expanding and getting thicker, Antarctic is doing the same, the Maldives Island group is doing fine, there is no Catastrophic Warming anywhere and the predicted Global Cooling cycle is intensifying.

As for people not taking me seriously. They are usually like yourself, "brain washed Alarmists" who can't think for themselves and just parrot IPCC pseudoscience.

What I don't get is how a party who so wholeheartedly believes in Global Warming Doomsday could be opposed to a Southern border wall..hell, Canada should build one to keep us out!

The border wall is a visual atrocity, extremely expensive and not terribly effective. Trump and the Republicans are already giving us a TRILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT this year, I don't see any reason to make it 50 billion dollars higher.
