In Bangkok do you use Baht or American dollars (if you are american!)?

    Thai baht. If you take USD you should exchange them for local currency at a forex booth, very few outlets will accept foreign cash.

    Myanmar (Burma) also takes only NEW American dollars.

    In Thailand you use Baht, and if some store, hotel, etc. does accept US Dollars, you're probably getting screwed on the exchange rate.

    You could probably use dollars in an emergency, but the Thai baht is the standard currency everywhere in Thailand.

    No, Americans use Chinese Dongs when in Thailand.

    Baht. USD are accepted in Cambodia and sometimes in Laos.

    Baht. Most transactions area unit still in money, except for hotels and major restaurants. you'll withdraw native currency at AN ATM (for a fee, of course).
