There is only One!
God hasn't failed us! I take comfort in the scriptures stated within this answer. Jesus Christ told us to not fear, even though we toil in the sea, and there are contrary winds, Jesus Christ comes to us. We can hear His voice reassuring us, to not be afraid, he makes known to us His Presence, his love, his compassion; and we know He will deliver us.
Even if there are so many different denominations; Jesus Christ promised to send the Holy Spirit to us who will guide us into 'all truth' Teach us. The beauty of this; is that as a man/women comes into His Truth; s/he is set free through God!
"One day, every knee shall bow, and say Jesus Christ is The Lord."
Since God is not the author of confusion, we may have to wonder who is! Surely Satan had a great deal to do with this. None the less, God is still Sovereign! His will, will be done, in heaven and in and on our earth.
Also remember these verses; as they show us the very mind and heart of Jesus Christ concerning who is acting from the Truth! Which mankind may fail, God is not going to Fail.
38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
In Mark 6: The disciples toiled in the sea; and in these passages we see they were afraid; that the wind was contrary; it's a picture of how God delivers us; from fear! When they despaired; Jesus from the shore, took compassion on them; so it is with us; He walks over those troubled waters to them; and calms their fears, the sea and the wind.
Focus on verse 50. > "For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid." (where we might fret; know that God is able to deliver us from all that will distort His Truth. He will take us to safe harbour, to find our home in and with Him.) " It is I." Jesus Christ; He's watching over us knowing how the storms unsettle us; how we try to overcome them; and He comes.
47 And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
48 And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
50 For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
Mark 6:48 -
And he saw them toiling in rowing
He saw them either with his bodily eyes from the mountain on which he was; or he perceived in his Spirit, he knew, by virtue of his omniscience as God, what distress his disciples were in; being tossed about with the waves of the sea, and were labouring with all their might and main against the wind: and were vexed and tortured, as the word signifies; they were in the utmost pain and uneasiness of mind, as well as fatigue of body, assisting the men in rowing; for the ship they were in was no other than a vessel managed by oars; and hard work it was to keep it from being overset:
for the wind was contrary unto them;
it blew from the other side they were making to, full in their face, hard against them; so that it was with great toil and difficulty, that they got any thing forward:
" For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid."
Rather than focusing on all the denominations, it's best to Focus on Jesus Christ; to learn of Him; to hear him; so we can determine His Voice above the sea, and the wind. To be of Good Cheer, knowing He will calm those winds and take us safely to His shore! God is here, now, even in our weakness; God's strength shines through!
