Crime still persists in socialist countries. However, some socialist countries were already homogenous societies to begin with and had lower crime rates while they were capitalist to begin with. Inherited low crime is not true low crime. Socialist countries tend to curtail civil freedoms, which does often lead to order, as they tend to have elements of a police state, which could lead to lower levels of certain crimes. But, it is also a dark stain upon humanity, as natural law is ignored and people are stripped of their most basic liberties.
