I heard for rockets to escape earths gravitational pull you need a tremendous amount of rocket fuel, and that by the time the rocket is in space it lost majority of the fuel during launch. If a mission planned to carry a heavy payload or manned mission to Mars per say, why not launch an earth satellite consisting of rocket fuel and a port to dock and refuel, that way once the rocket burns up majority of its fuel it can dock up to the tank and get full refill? Wouldn’t that decrease the time one manned mission would take to mars by a great amount because you can now propel faster though space via rocket fuel.
