Are you for against your state throwing out your vote and giving all of its electoral college votes to the national popular vote winner?

Update:

Why would any state agree to that scheme?

Against it. The electoral votes are supposed to represent the voters in each state, not the national majority which will always be high population states like NY and CA.

Then those ar 2 more states to add to the whole high population control that would be exerted if the electoral college simply went with majority rule in the national election.

this is really just one more thing to get people angry and not talking about jobs, the economy and national security...

the ones who have fought most against Electoral College reform have been the establishment Democrats who worked so hard to lock down group-think voting blocs in densely-populated urban area precisely so that they could out-vote the rest of their state's populations...

look at the voting map of Illinois, for example....Hillary won 10 or 11 of the state's 102 counties... think any of these "reformers" would want to go back and give Trump 8 of Illinois' 20 Electoral votes in the name of "fairness" and "a better reflection of the popular vote?"

    Wow are you confused.

I am against it. It would let the most populist state dictate who wins every time.

Yes... and plus, "the designee" for you in the electoral college doesn't even have to vote the way the majority of voters' way.

Wage Slave - You do understand that those states votes would not count if the electoral college was done away with.
