He didn't. He created Adam and Eve who understood that God was their Creator. They had many children, the first 3 being named Cain, Abel and Seth and then we are told that they had many other children. Brothers married sisters. Incest was not bad then because they were all initially pure so carried no diseases which, these days, would cause genetic problems. When there were enough people on the earth for them to marry far distant cousins rather than siblings God told them that they must choose partners lesser related to themselves. Those children and grandchildren would have been of different coloured skin, eye and nose shape, height, weight etc. and would, eventually, scatter and populate the earth forming different people groups around the globe. Those in cold countries would have more body fat than those in hot countries and have other different features to make them able to survive in different climates. Every single person on this earth is a descendent of Adam and Eve.
God did not create many religions. People did that. They chose to make idols and worship them and God was angry with them and punished them but they continue to disobey Him to this day by still creating their own gods. One day He will return and put an end to all the sin and confusion that man has created. On that day He will take His own true followers to be with Him and all others will be judged and punished.
