How come Japan never gets any mass shootings or have a high homicide rate? Since their country is strict on guns.?

Their culture emphasizes respect for one’s fellow human beings more than ours, probably. They also are generally physically and mentally healthier than we are, due to their diet and better medical system I’m guessing. Japanese diet alone is considered one of the healthiest of all nations.. Because of their high omega3/iodine seafood diet for one thing, they tend to not have as much dementia/Alzheimer’s and neurodegenerative diseases ad Americans do. Better brain health alone usually translates into less violent behavior. And stricter gun control doesn’t hurt either I’m sure

if you want to take the shallowest perspective, then you can certainly stop at the "gun" thing....

a big part of it is cultural.... first, Japan (like many of those 'lovely social democracies' by the way) has strict cultural controls in place to keep the nation homogeneous... American notions of individualism are entirely alien to them...

...this type of rigid cultural structure tends to turn the alienation and anger that causes kids in America to strike out to instead turn inwards..... just look at the suicide rates...

Because the NRA's bleating that more guns equals better safety is utter and complete horseshit.

Japan has guns, along with an effective Muslim immigration ban.

Does it matter if either one of them are true? Conservative strategy is to just make whatever sh·t up on the spot that will benefit them and then have their fellow contards upvote it to pretend it has legitimacy.

European country with lowest violent crime: Switzerland

European country with highest gun ownership: Switzerland

Also, Japan’s culture, people, and government are vastly different than America or any European country. They’re a tiny peninsula that’s almost entirely homogenous and has a culture of work, work, and did I mention work? America has gangs that have more firearms and manpower than the police force and they get most of their money on the black market. None of that exists in Japan.
