My body has always tended to run hot, even since I was a child. My mom always was chasing me to button up my jacket, keep my hat on my head and such. Even to this day, four decades later, I like a cool house, especially at night while sleeping.
If my indoor temp was set at 78, I would be barefoot, wearing shorts and a tank top, even if it was 12 degrees outside.
People who are always cold either have bad blood circulation/below average blood pressure. These people need to wear more clothing in layers rather than sweat out everyone else in the house.
I once had to care for my aging aunts and they kept their house at about 80 degrees, all year long. If the AC was on, they complained about a "draft". Helping them was like being in a sauna. Since they basically watched TV all day long, I lowered the house temp to 65 (for me) and put quilts on their laps with an electric heater in that room while closing the AC vents in the summertime. This not only saved a ton of money in oil fuel costs, I could work there and be there to help them without passing out from the heat.
My spouse likes a hot house. I wear summer clothes indoor, all winter long. I could NEVER live in Florida, never. I would die.
