Is the latest high profile Catholic to go down for heinous crimes against children the final blow for an already weakened organisation?
George Pell, who had like the room next door to the pope at the Vatican or something, was convicted this week and sent straight to jail for sexually abusing 13 year old boys in the 90s. Will this be the last straw for many Catholics or will they be like, "Meh, I'm still sending my kids to Catholic school,"?

Unfortunately not. They have a hoard to last them years. and the power to continue to cover up their crimes. but they are weakening, trying to make concessions, but they refuse to come clean. They will never admit their wrong doing. But it sure proves they do not fear any god thing, a bunch pf hypocrites. Nobody who believes a god is looking would diddle a kid in defiance of that god. They can't have a benevolent god, and still molest and kill children.

If he was actually guilty then in the long term it might dent the CCC (Confused Catholic Church) reputation... but as his conviction will be thrown out on appeal it'll have no long term effect.

Sadly no, the Church will recover from this and continue to prey on the defenseless for years to come.

(1Tim 4:1) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the LATTER TIMES some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of DEVILs;
v:3 Forbidding to MARRY...
It is God's will for a man and women to have sexual relations through a MARRIAGE only.
When any church goes against God's will and forbids certain people to marry --- you know that is a doctrine of devils.
I'm not going to defend this cardinal Pell for the evil and wickedness he committed on these boys --- but if he chooses to be part of an organization that forbids him from marrying and having sexual relations with a wife --- then you are opening up your mind to seducing spirits corrupting your mind.
