Why does Bernie Sanders explicitly refuse to call Nicolas Maduro a "Dictator?"?

Update:

Is he channeling his inner Leon Trotsky?

Bernie is extremely suspect about many things. My gut tells me something is not kosher with him.

For the same reason that Britain’s Corbyn won’t. They are hardwired to accept socialist dictators but denounce the west at every opportunity.

The crazies in Britain were claiming venezuala could teach Britain about democracy.

    Socialist fruitcakes.

because he's not.....he won an election with over 60% of the vote......none of his opponents were even close.

trivia; the Carter Center, which has monitored dozens of elections worldwide, claims it was one of the most honest elections in the world.

If he were a "dictator", he would have already imprisoned, tortured, and murdered all his enemies in the media.

Maduro was democratically elected. The UN had verified every election up until the Venezuelan 2018 presidential election when the opposition requested the UN not monitor the election. Yet, despite the UN not monitoring the election, four other international bodies did and all verified. The opposition simply requested the UN not monitor the elections so they could later claim they were rigged because they knew if the UN monitored them they would verify them.

Because Maduro was elected by the citizens of Venezuela? Maybe that has something to do with it?

He isn’t and neither is Kim Jung Un. I’m proud of him standing up to DT.
