force of attraction b/w two particles is f=k*[(r2-r1)-r/v(r2-r1)] where k is constant, vis velocity, and r= r2-r1, is system conservative?

    Yes. r, r1 and r2 do not depend on time explicitly. Therefore the motion is conservative.

    F = k [r - r / (v r)] = k r (1 - 1/v)

    or

    F = k [r - r^2 / v] = k r (1 - r/v) ?
