Why do people think quarterbacks are in a more vulnerable position than running backs? They should both be hit the same with no flags.?

They should be but we know that isn't true, they say quarterbacks are in more of a vulnerable position because they are having to run and remain focused on multiple positions at once. But some people don't know that's the same with running backs so that answers your question.

Because while they are busy looking downfield it's easy for them to be totally blindsided and injured. Also, good quarterback are a very rare commodity compared to running backs. That's why quarterback are treated special.

Because, if they are trying to pass, their attention is on the receivers, not on who is charging through the line to knock them into the next weekend.

Who thinks that? They’re protected more since they’re viewed as a more important commodity.
