I prefer the equinoxes.
Here at 54N, in the summer it doesn't get dark until 11 PM and the dawn starts about 3:30. This makes it hard for me to get a good night's sleep, since I wake up when the sun rises.
At least in the dark of winter I can easily get enough sleep.
And when I'm short on sleep, I tend to go into atrial fibrillation. It feels life threatening, although it isn't, but I have to lie down and pant for breath until my heart goes back to normal ... 30 minutes to 30 hours, depending.
In the summer, I have a lot more atrial fibrillation. A summer day is more invigorating . but only if your body is not debilitated.
