Do you want to know my thought about being gone?

That's an interesting thought.

If religion never existed, we could be exploring the universe instead of having wasted centuries enforcing ridiculous, contradictory and barbaric nonsense.

On the other hand, the basic 'rules' common to every religion (basically, don't be arseholes), are the reason humans have been able to do so much. Without it, we could still essentially be primitives, barely distinguishable in our core behaviour to the rest of the animals (eat, sleep, kill, shag).

In other words, those rules laid the groundwork for a more ordered society in which you had the time and space to figure out how the universe works.

Interesting viewpoint. The Bible (when used correctly) is partly about leading mankind to the best way of life possible. This is because Jehovah God is responsible for its making. (2 Timothy 3:16) The principles found within it are for the benefit of mankind, stabilizing society and helping us achieve the best way of life. (Isaiah 48:17 & 18) The information found in the Bible is also there to give us not only a history of where we came, but a solid hope for the future as well. (Romans 15:4)

Religion was to me at times beneficial in maintaining some sort of civility, maybe, however it didn't really do that good a job, ever, in the big picture.

Christianity was the biggest force for science for well over a thousand years.

What on earth are you talking about?

How would deleting religion make humans live on pluto?

But more to the point, why care about the rest of the Universe?

We were Created here on earth because only earth can support our existence.

Man doesn't belong "in space" or "out in the Universe". we can't survive in space and all these "exo planets" that the media brings up can't be real. It's physically impossible for us to "see" planets and "UFOs" around other stars, and to be quite honest, it's absolutely INSANE to think any even exist.

Leave that "ancient alien" cult before it's too late..
