If the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is not correct then why?

Oh, dear. Joseph Smith declared all teachings of Christianity to be false. Funny how LDS trips all over itself trying to prove what they officially do not believe.

The early church *never* considered God to have been a man (Adam, as LDS doctrine teaches), now exalted. The early church never spoke of "spirit children" being pumped out by Adam/God and his wives. Such things are preposterous in Christianity. LDS doctrine of God is completely wrong, unsupportable in the scriptures and the early Christian writings before the 4th century.

Where do you find early teachings that support LDS teaching?

If it's not "correct", why? Because there's nothing "correct" about it. No church founded 1800 years after Christ is "correct." In addition, in violation of the prohibition against adding to/subtracting from Scripture, the LDS has the Book of Mormon, which is heresy. And God wasn't originally a human, nor can humans become gods.

What makes a thing not correct

is being something other than correct

    (of course).

    With regard to the LDS

several of its teachings directly contradict plain Bible teaching.

For example: multiple deities, marriage in Heaven, recognizing as prophets those whose supposed prophetic utterances are recognized as incorrect, the "ascension" of mere mortal beings to godhood, etc.

Not three DEITIES working as one. Three Divine Persons eternally united, that union being one and only one deity.

It contains a lot of teachings of devils. The Bible warms against listening to a false gospel of an Angel from heaven, yet that is what they did when they listened to the fallen Angel Maroni.

Most angels + Jesus and God showed them from the Bible

DNA of Native Americans came out Asian with a small amount of African--no Hebrew at all. Book of Abraham translation by Joseph Smith was wrong. As for true Mormon History, watch the videos of Dan Vogel.

Pray and ask God this question. James

    Chapter 1

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God—Resist temptation—Be doers of the word—James explains how to recognize pure religion.

1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

    2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
