You can reuse the hard drive, but NOT the way you want to. The issue here is that the O/S installed on the hard drive will be looking for the CPU that was previously installed. Since it will have changed, with the new motherboard, you will have a number of issues.
My suggestion would be to make sure you have copies of any software you want to reuse, make sure you have the install keys, if any, and then install the O/S from scratch. This will give you the best results when you reuse the hard drive, because the drivers for the motherboard will need to be installed after the O/S (chipset) and then make sure you install your software, with keys.
