Do cons really believe prisons are secure because of the wall and not the hundreds of guards inside controlling prisoners' every movement?

Does trump's wall budget also include an invasion and occupation force to turn mexico into a communist police state?

Why a "Communist" police state? Just because uneducated rednecks conflate terminology in verbal groupings like that? What Democrats really want is a US military base every 25 miles along the border and troops patrolling 12 and a half miles out to midway point 24/7. And to annex Mexico. But "Communist"? No.

In most prisons and jails the deputies are out numbered 100 prisoners to one deputy. I got released from prison a year ago and there was 100 guys in a pod and only two deputies. The wall kept us in pretty dam good. The has barbed wire too.

Do moronic libs like you think you know anything at all about what it is like inside of a prison?

You think you know, but you know nothing.

I have worked at three different correctional facilities, one of them bing the largest maximum securirty prison in Texas.

Your fantasy about "hundreds of guards" is a complete fabrication.

The ratio of officers to inmates is usually more like 1 to 150 or more.

You are locked on a wing alone with four floors of inmates, some of whom would love to hurt or kill you if they got the opportunity.

If you think walls and locked bars don't stop them from just walking out, then you really are as ignorant as you sound.

And a wall would stop many criminal aliens from just strolling unchallenged across our Southern border.

    Yes unfortunately they do!

Walls in prisons are simply there to slow down someone trying to escape. If they were effective there would be no need for security camera, motion sensors and armed guard towers.

The VAST majority of prisoners never escape. Because walls work.

Prisons have both walls and guards. Trump's border will have walls AND guards.

Even with walls and guards prisoners try to escape and sometimes succeed....but the walls contain the vast majority. That is what we want on our border.

It works because of walls and security, which is what Trump wants at the border.

Unfortunately, no. Trump does not understand what "comprehensive border control" even means. He does not really care at all about border security, he just wants us to build a big monument to honor his stupidity and his ignorance.

Apprehensions of people trying to cross the southern border peaked most recently at 1.6 million in 2000 and have been in decline since, falling to just under 400,000 in fiscal 2018. The decline is partly because of technology upgrades; tougher penalties in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks; a decline in migration rates from Mexico; and a sharp increase in the number of Border Patrol officers. The fiscal 2018 number was up from just over 300,000 apprehensions at the U.S.-Mexico border for fiscal 2017, the lowest level in more than 45 years.

Its a combination of both. Duh

You do make a good point though we do need a wall.

Could you imagine if all the prisoners were just out in a field somewhere and the guards had to try to keep them from running off?
