Do all salons keep notes about clients?

    No. The shop does not keep notes but the service provider will remember you for the sake of keeping you happy.

    Usually, a client will have chosen a hairdresser (or what ever service that is given) and that hairdresser will remember your details such as the condition that your hair is need of, what color/style you usually chose, that you are allergic to a certain product etc...

    You hair dresser will make it a point to remember you and your needs to keep you happy as to keep you a client.

    If a client is known to make a scene, or throw attitudes, or still on payments etc... I think all the servers there will make a mental note on how to handle that person.

    but there are no files kept for the purpose of all to read.

    My hairdresser in Edinburgh keeps notes of which stylist I was served by on what date, what was done to my hair, and the specifications of the hair colouring that was used.

    If they keep a note of anything else, I'm not aware of it.

    They are supposed to but many of them do not.

    I think individual stylists keep those notes.
