Cars aeren't making those kids happier.
They're also not going to know what you know how to do later on when they need to- how to get by on your own steam.
Nope, it isn't any consolation, but I'm telling you what I know now and wish I knew then- what you learn about getting by on next to nothing now is the real education they will never have. You know how to live through not having daddy's money- they would starve to death.
Look for free meetup groups. Free days at the local museums. Make a game out of finding one cool free thing to do or get every week. If you're in school, things are around, you just have to find them.
Find a charity to volunteer with, or find a way to help people with what you do know, and you will feel much better about your situation. Everyone has a way to give. Look up the area dog breed-specific rescues, and email them the free dog ads from Craig's List. Match up the Lost and Found ads (you'd be surprised at how many times people don't actually read the found ads when they've lost something). Just in general, find something that makes you feel as if you've made the world a better place for someone, one little thing at a time.
Yes, you're busy studying, but take a break every day and do something for yourself that isn't that. Even if you took a half hour off, it would help you.
Get some exercise, be social with non-drunk people, and know you are going to conquer the world, one ramein noodle coupon at a time. Because you are going to, and when you do, you're going to know how to manage the money you make. Those other kids will not.
