Normal is relative,
but you should be doing a lot better than that with a degree.
Repairing audio equipment, including guitar amplifiers,
is a pretty good business even now in the age of disposable stuff,
but you have to be able to turn out a lot of work in a day to make a decent income.
If you're good, $50,000 or more a year should be doable.
Consider going for a higher degree and getting into the field of aerospace.
