Upgrading Asus k55vd-sx183d.?

Hi everyone! I want do add some RAM to my laptop, but confused about number of slots and their capability. Now I have 4GB of RAM. Can I replace it with 8GB and get one more 8GB into second slot? Or the 8GB is general maximum?

at the crucial.com website, input the exact make and model of your laptop. it'll tell you what the possible memory configurations are. you can then google for price on the parts that'll work.

not all laptops will support 16 Gb memory ... check for this before spending money

Take a look at the manual. It will tell you what the device is capable of and what kid of ram you need. Usually you can add 2 sticks however the manual will advise the maximum.
