If you have or have had an emotional support animal or a service pet could you still join the military?

Just wondering, would really appreciate a reply

no, not if you still have the disability...you don't qualify for an ESA unless you are disabled, if you are disabled, you don't qualify for the military

    Let's think

You can't cope with life without a fluffy kitten

But you want to join an organisation dedicated to action and killing people

    So sure

Of course not. The underlying reason why you would qualify for either would be a DQ to enlist

  • sure, but you won't be able to bring that animal with you

You won't be allowed into the military with your support animal. Depending on the reason you have the pet, you might be disqualified.
