Any tube schematic experts out there? How can the center tap line of the transformer be un-rectified?

    The centre tap is full rectified. As derfram mentioned, it uses left 2 diodes to rectify. The path during rectification is given in the attached diagram. Hope this helps understand.

    The current is flowing in one direction only.

    Do you think there should be redundant rectifiers in the center tap? You sound like a troll that finds retarded questions to ask.

    The output of the power supply is rectified and filtered direct current.

    The Center Tap is rectified

    Looking at the power transformer's secondary winding at the negative voltage peak, the top lead of the winding is negative and the bottom winding lead is positive. In this case the top winding is grounded by bridge rectifier, the bottom lead is +840 volt (+600 volts RMS = 840volts peak) rectified by the bridge rectifier and the CT lead is half that (+440 volts).

    One half cycle latter the top lead is now most positive and the bottom lead is now negative and grounded by the bridge rectifier. This top lead is positive +840 volts again rectified by the bridge rectifier. Note the CT lead is still + 440 volts.

    • Thanks Roger. So if I understand correctly, when a bridge rectifier is installed in this configuration, the ENTIRE secondary side of the transformer is now rectified. Is this correct?

    No need, because it is the center zero voltage point as a dual DC power source that provide +300V ( apply to plate of 807 ) and -300V ( apply to Common GND ) as refer to this point. It also acts as another +300V power source refer to Common GND to power EL84 ECC83 plate. Another path to supply +72V power source ( from 3 x 24V zener diodes) to EF80.

    Think of it as two rectifier circuits layed on top of each other. There is a full wave bridge across the full secondary that provides the HV for the finals, and a center-tapped configuration using only the two left diodes that provides a lower voltage for ther rest of the circuitry.
