People sleep on how good Austin was pre-neck injury, but he spent the majority of his early days emulating Flair, and he'll tell you that. Bret knew how to make the basics look devastating, but he wasn't nearly the draw or entertainer that Austin or Flair were.
I'll always come off bias in saying Flair because I'm from NC, but I honestly think it's true. He could match mic work with anyone, he could make anyone look good in the ring, and he always drew a house. There were times in WCW when Ric wasn't there that fans would chant his name.
