As usual, a lot depends on injuries.
Let's face it, the Red Sox got very lucky with JD Martinez and Nathan Eovaldi. JD played 150 games for only the second time in his career. He was also the key piece in the line-up that allowed Mookie Betts to thrive. Nathan has already had TWO Tommy John surgeries and nobody expected him to finish like he did in September and October.
Also remember the Red Sox have only won back-to-back World Series once before and that was over 100 years ago.
I'd like to see Jackie Bradley have a break out season (hitting over .300). If he does, and the team remains reasonably healthy, they do have a good chance of making the series again.
