Is Zionism just a welfare ideology, for Jews with a victim mentality? Lmao?
conservatives claim they are against publically funded healthcare, and publically funded college, yet they give these things to the Jews of Israel, because they're chosenites.

You should look more into this. Israel does take foreign aid (38 billion annually I believe) from the US, but it is still only a drop in the bucket for their total foreign aid and even less so for the broader economy. The Jews have a victim mentality because if they don't, they will not see themselves as justified to have a land like Israel. Establishing a victim mentality and foundation myth, truthful or not, are key players in group survival and cultural history.
Most Jews probably do not believe that they are some supernaturally "chosen people," but they claim to be because it gives them access to Israel. The Jews who are not Zionistic, and deny this, then do not advocate for a homeland. It is somewhat counter productive.
America should certainly stop giving them foreign aid, though, and their presence is overall negative in the Middle East. We should not encourage their, and Saudi Arabia's, behavior. Many Muslims are then turned against regular Americans, when if we didn't support Israel, would not.Source(s): Non-interventionist and US conservative

Hello Asker "Pro-Abortion. Pro-Borders",
In many countries, where publically funded healthcare and publically funded college exist at all, these are not restricted to a particular religious or ethnic group; yet the Asker has chosen to ask their question (based as it is in their anti-Semitic prejudice) about Jews and about Israel.
“Zionism” is simply Jewish nationalism, and if it were to be considered “wrong”, then the nationalism of other nations would also have to be wrong, for example Arab nationalism.
Zionism forms part of the Jewish religion since the land of Israel and the Jewish religion cannot be separated, and the land of Israel is the ancestral homeland of the Jewish People, in which the Jews have unbroken presence since Biblical times.
Zionism is the desire to create and protect the re-establishment of Israel within its historic homeland, with Zion – Jerusalem, as its capital, while respecting its neighbours. What is now East Jerusalem (aka the "Old City"), was the capital of all the previous Jewish kingdoms of Judea and (united) kingdom of Israel.
Since the Asker falsely-associates a victim-mentality with Jews, the reader may be interested in the following:
As the reader will be aware, it is the Palestinians who persistently and falsely-play the “victim-card”. Palestinian propaganda is however highly successful; comparable to that of Nazi Germany. In summary, it falsely-claims that the Palestinians are “victims” and that the Jews are the fake-cause of all Palestinian perceived issues.
> The Palestinians are no “victims”.
> Rather, the Palestinians are victim-makers.
The Palestinian education system teaches a false victim-mentality like Nazi propaganda, that the Jews / Israel are fake-cause of all Palestinian alleged issues (examples below):
The Palestinians have a problem of child sexual abuse, while deceiving the world it is all Israeli's fault for causing Palestinians “stress” by Israel deploying an economic-blockade – a blockade due to Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel.
The Palestinians have a problem of domestic violence against women, while deceiving the world it is all Israeli's fault for causing Palestinians “stress” by Israel deploying an economic-blockade – a blockade due to Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel.
In deploying their propaganda-falsehoods against Israel, the Palestinians usually find they are “pushing at an open door”: Many people are more than willing to believe them, while being unwilling to verify if it is factual, due to anti-Semitism (about which they are often in denial).
Nor therefore do such people require any reasonable or proper moral standard from the Palestinians.
Perhaps people may like to consider that a “victim” is not normally characterised by the following, as are the Palestinians:
> Run their own territories, from which they launch terrorist attacks and rockets.
> Conduct a war of territorial-ambition and ethnic-hatred, targeting as policy civilians including children (no wonder then that anti-Semites feel such emotional-attachment to the Palestinians!);
> Convert their International Aid Money (your Tax Money, by the way) into:
Rockets, weapons of all types, attack tunnels, while also diverting a large portion to corruption.
> Have poor infrastructure, due to their available funds being poured into their conflict-based economy, while ignoring the welfare of their people.
Israel was Re-established in 1948 following a United Nations Partition Plan which had sought to set up two states, one Jewish and one Arab.
The then Palestinian Jewish Community had accepted the U.N. Partition Plan, while the Palestinian-Arab response was in 1947 to start a civil war and terror to oppose the U.N. Partition Plan, instead take ALL the land of Israel, and ethnically-cleanse or murder the Jewish population from the Jews ancestral homeland of Israel:
Palestinian propaganda falsely-alleges the Re-establishment of Israel caused: a “great injustice” / “nakba” (“catastrophe” / “disaster”) to the Palestinians.
> The Palestinians violently rejected the Arab state of the United Nations Partition Plan;
> Jordan and Egypt occupied the land proposed for an Arab state under the U.N. Partition Plan (approximating to the West Bank and Gaza);
> BOTH Arabs and Jews, became war-refugees;
> The Palestinians falsely-claim with no evidence of any such policy that they were expelled from the land; Jews were indeed expelled by the Arabs as policy. Palestinians live and work in Israel.
Therefore the reader is entitled to be sceptical about Palestinian propaganda falsely-alleging a fantasy-injustice.
The Palestinians deceive the world into believing they seek a two-state solution, whereas in reality they falsely-claim ALL the land of Israel (to none of which do they have any verifiable-claim), and seek to expel or murder the Jews. This is clearly shown by what is taught by the Palestinian education system (see above) and by the “Palestinian National Charter”.
The following is how the Palestinians obtained part of the West Bank and the whole of Gaza:
In 1967 Israel gained control of the West Bank and Gaza Strip (from the previous Jordanian and Egyptian occupation respectively) and as an attempt by Israel at “land for peace” under the Oslo Accords, Israel later granted the Palestinians autonomy for part of the West Bank (40%) and the whole of the Gaza Strip, as part of a peace process which anticipated further negotiations for a peace treaty.
Therefore until any peace treaty that may say otherwise, the land remains Israel’s.
Once the Palestinians had tricked Israel into giving them autonomy of part of the West Bank and the whole of Gaza under the Oslo Accords, the Palestinians since:
> Do not sincerely negotiate any peace treaty.
> Make an unverifiable false-claim to ALL the land of Israel.
> Want to expel the Jews from the Jews ancestral-homeland of Israel.
> Have expelled any Jewish population from all areas under Palestinian control and then falsely-claimed “Apartheid” against Israel !
> Consider themselves at war with Israel.
> Attack Israeli Jewish civilians as policy including children (see below).
No wonder anti-Semites display such emotional-support for the Palestinians!

“The Palestinian Authority Martyrs Fund is a fund operated by the Palestinian Authority for the purpose of paying a monthly cash stipend to the families of Palestinians killed, injured or imprisoned for involvement in attacking, assisting in attacking, or planning to attack Israel ...”
- - - - End of quote - - - -
Here is an example result from the Palestinian on-going anti-Jewish hate-war:
Israeli girl, Hallel Yaffa Ariel, aged 13, fatally stabbed in her bedroom in West Bank by a Palestinian terrorist, June 30, 2016, The Guardian:
The Jews are the indigenous people of the land of Israel:
Pro-Palestinians falsely-claim that the Palestinians were in the land first and that Israeli Jews all come from Europe, whereas the Jewish People have had unbroken presence in their ancestral homeland of Israel since Biblical times - See the “Demographic history of [Israel] Palestine”:
The Jewish People have had an unbroken presence in their ancestral homeland of Israel since Biblical times, and also previous sovereign states in the land for example the Jewish Hasmonean Kingdom of Judea (including the West Bank and Gaza) with its capital of (what is now East) Jerusalem, and independent as at 110 BCE / 753 BH–752 BH:
From where then did “Palestine” as a name imposed on the land of Israel, come?
The Romans imposed the term “Palæstina” (“Palestine”) on Roman-occupied Judea / Israel, resurrecting the term from the much smaller region “Philistia” (approximating to Gaza), within which the defunct Philistines had their five city kingdoms.
The Palestinians have no connection with the ancient Philistines.
There has never been a sovereign state of “Palestine” upon which the Palestinian Arabs could base any claim to the land of Israel. Following the Ottoman Turkish defeat in the First World
The “Palestinian Arabs” may come from those who invaded and occupied the Jewish land of Judea / Israel, but it is also unclear at what point they arrived there, since they were opposed to being called a “People” until the 1960’s when they decided it fitted with their intention to steal the land of Israel from its indigenous Jews:
I hope this helps.

Compare apples to apples. Israel's population is about the size of a single American state. Some states have funds for college and healthcare, or at least have control over those two services. Conservatives are against having our federal government in DC dictate education and healthcare for states 2,000 miles away. Why are you against these states having the right to make their own choices on these issues?
