One good year is nothing more than an aberration. 2016 was their only winning season since 2002.

Bad players, or injuries have effected them team, plus you remember they have a head coach that has been out of coaching for what pretty much the last decade and in the Monday night football booth.

They weren't all that great their 2016 season, no defense and hardly any depth at all on offense. Crabtree worked out great as a compliment to Cooper who looked like the real deal.

They were also too quick to pull the trigger on Jack Del Rio. He's a big reason they became relevant again, he's a good coach.
