If you are vegan, I would think you are getting enough fiber. . . . too much??
One or two BMs a day are average . . . . but also depends on how many meals you eat a day: I always skipped breakfast - maybe a lunch somedays - then a meal around 6 pm. Had 1 BM a day - in the morning after a cup of strong coffee.
BUT THEN: read an article that said it was better to "graze" all day long (still keeping track of cals, protein, carbs, etc) rather than puting a strain on the system with a couple larger meals. Started "grazing" and soon found myself having little BMs 4, 5, 6 times a day and Yes, that feeling that elimination wasn't complete.
Tips my Doc gave me: light grazing is fine, but normal digestion is on average a 24 hour cycle - what goes in comes out in around 24 hours - so grazing can result in many BMs . . . best to have normal size meals with a bit of grazing/snacking in-between. And (sorry if this is indelicate): if you feel you have enough fiber, you can also help the process a bit: after a BM, wipe carefully then apply just a small dab of vaseline (NOT anything medicinal like PrepH - just plain petroleum jelly)......idea is to sooth the anus and make each BM easier and more complete.
And I also wonder if your frequent enemas are depleting your intestinal flora . . . . . . not a problem to rinse the rectum frequently, but can be problematic if you do deeper enemas too often: you can become dependent upon them and deplete beneficial digestive organisms. If in doubt, take a probiotic or yogurt.
