Patriotism and nationalism are for fools and inadequates.
The only valid reasons to care about the continuity of a nation is because it has utility to the continuity of desirable human and societal attributes (the inherent components of Britain's system threaten many of these, particularly the irreplaceable ones).
The World Wars, and indeed the nation-based (as well as religion-based) wars before those, could have been avoided if a sufficient amount of people in the respective eras had my mentality. I cannot help but cringe when I see people expressing loyalty for the nations they are from, valuing them over continuity of desirable aspects of humanity.
Many people are loyal to nations simply because they were born in them and have foolishly become emotionally attached, not because they believe that their nation has any uniquely desirable attributes or that its continuation is logically desirable. This is an infantile, mentally enslaving and stagnating mentality that people need to evolve from, much like adherence to religion.
Nations are merely territories under a system, with various interconnected smaller systems and some unique culture mixed in, functioning for the benefit of a population inside of it. They are not worth getting attached to. It is a mental trap. Mental enslavement. Weak-mindedness.
Continuity of desirable attributes (with irreplaceable ones being prioritised) should always take precedence over civilisations.
Highly incisive and very strong-minded tactician, veteran threat detector (highly likely the most competent with this, of the millennial generation) and developer of life-saving and mind-opening concepts of societal structure and consciousness. Vehement advocate of human advancement, as well as continuity of desirable human and societal attributes (will viciously oppose anyone and anything that threatens these things with NO EXCEPTIONS).
