How would you treat someone who said they were mugged? Would you doubt them? Would you say "Well, what were you wearing? Were you wearing a nice watch? You can't show off your money like that and not expect to be robbed."
No, you wouldn't do that. You would listen to them. You would insist they go to the police. You'd say "That guy is going to mug someone else unless you report it. You have a responsibility to help the police arrest him and stop him so he doesn't do this to other people."
Why do we doubt women? We wouldn't doubt people if it was another crime being reported.
