Of course it's not emotional cheating. Emotional cheating isn't really a thing. It's one of those terms that was made up out of thin air so people could complain about it when they have nothing else to complain about.
There is no clause in any relationship agreement, not even in a legal marriage, that says you can only share emotional contact with your official partner. There's lots of stuff about how kissing, fondling, groping, licking, f**king, sucking, nuzzling and stimulating are forbidden with other people, but absolutely nothing about sharing emotions. Cheating is a purely sexual thing, and that's the only thing that counts as cheating.
Emotional cheating was made up by people who want to play a victim card but don't really have one. And considering how valid the 'real' victim cards are, you can probably guess how real this one is. There's no such thing.
