The German Emperor Frederick III was one of the greatest soldier and military leader in the entire Germany and even the World history. Frederick II was really great, but he would lose battles, but Frederick III never lost a major battle. Frederick III joined Prussia Army at age 10, this was the beginning of his glory and invincible journey as the greatest soldier in all time.
At age 35, that is 1866, Frederick was already crown prince of Prussia. But he was also a general and became commander of 2nd Army of Prussia to fight Austro - Prussian War. He was so brilliant in Battle of Koniggratz which the battle weaken Austria so much that she would never compete with Prussia as leader of Germany. After the war, Frederick was awarded the greatest honour, the Order Pour le Mérite, for his excellent command in the war.
5 years later in 1871 in Franco - Prussia War, Frederick as commander of the 3rd Army and also had excellent performance in the decisive Battle of Sedan. This amazing victory totally destroyed France, Frederick became conqueror of Paris. The victory finally let Frederick climbed to the apex of glory in his military career, he was appointed as Field Marshal of German Army. Frederick's victory was essential to establishment of German Empire. When Frederick ascended to the throne, he did not just Crown Prince of Germany, but also Field Marshal of German Army with the Order Pour le Mérite, and all these glories were earned by himself. Frederick III was one of the greatest soldier king of all time. Since his wife was English princess, if he did not die so quickly, Germany with the strongest army might be ally with Britain with the strongest navy, then the whole Europe or the even whole World will be under the rule of this couple.
