Why do most Liberal municipalities ban the American tradition of fireworks?

Fire and injuries.
When I was a kid, I saw people shooting off all sorts of projectile fireworks unsafely. My sister suffered a hand injury from not releasing a firecracker quickly enough. Freaked me out cause I was only 4 or so at the time.
That being said, I absolutely love this clip of some dumb teens and a bottle rocket. Makes me laugh every time.

I think it's the tight *** conservatives who don't like to see anyone else having a good time.

They allow fireworks but only to celebrate socialist holidays.

Actually, these kinds of restriction have very little to do with liberalism, and a lot more to do with a corporatist culture that now dominates all aspects of life.
This has nothing to do with liberals. This has to do with nervous lawyers and insurance brokers.

Fire risk and there are a good number of people far too stupid to use them correctly
Modern housing construction has very little fire risk from fireworks, especially today's weak fireworks. The bans were enacted 100 years ago when many houses had wood shingles, wood exteriors, unkempt yards, and were built very close to one another.
