All the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell.
So any answer (even a lengthy one) to your question will only be a tidbit, and one size does not fit all, but here's a few that work well for me.
You are, most likely, the most ever-present and important factor in the determination of your destiny.
Follow your spirit guide: that inner voice, and those outer voices, that urge you to become your ideal self.
In many various situations, the idea of finding balance between too much and too little is useful.
Be tolerant up to a point, and then stand up.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, but realize that people differ and might not want for themselves what you want for yourself.
Open mind. Open heart. Open eyes.
Seek and keep the good, like happiness and enthusiasm. Fly to the rainbow. Steer away from, and dispense with the bad, like anger and despair. Don't be a prisoner of the past; break your chains. The only difference between a grave and a rut are the dimensions. Don't let empty people try and interfere with your mind; just live your life and leave them all behind.
Share your heart. Speak your mind, but don't waste your breath.
Defy fear, but be smart about it.
Don't waste much time.
I could go on, but....
I hope some is useful.
