If you Ever were there when it happened; You'd Know.
4% are released from Death Row every year due to DNA. How many aren't that are truly innocent? Or, improperly executed in past?
I was in Florence E. when two were put down in Florence S. It too them 45 minutes Each to die. Each Gasped 45 times. The death "cocktail" was banned in OK as it wasn't sure. But , AZ used it. Even though those two had exhausted their appeals, one was definitely guilty of rape/murder of a young girl (witnesses); we All agreed that was No way to die. Firing squad, even hanging. Oddly, hanging banned in AZ in 1925-- hanging took a fat woman's head off. At least it was Quick,
Malarkey such as what State of AZ pulls is why yards are locked down during execution. They Know that many so-called "merciful" ways of execution are often less than civilized; anyone would protest.
An Odd feeling to know someone is dying a mile away. And, goes to Potter's Field ( neither had family/friend to claim body.) Inmates dug holes and buried them, too.
