Did you here about Lee Carter, an elected member of Virginia's legislature?

On the Web site of Jacobin magazine, Lee Carter suggests that states and cities, instead of using money to promote development by big corporations, instead should promote empliyee ownership via worker cooperatives.

Update:

He is a Democrat who defeated a Republicanbin 2017 to be elected to the lower house of the Virginia legislature. He is also a menber of the Democratic Socialists of America and the Industrial Workers of the World.

    What's wrong with that? Employee owned companies are very successful and that way no foreigners can buy in, so you are promoting american investment and american control.
