what effect would price fixing legal representation have on the system,'Perry Mason makes no more or less than John Q. lawyer?

    You forget that Perry Mason's nemesis was the DA named Hamilton Burger. But Peery called him "Ham" for short. John Q Lawyer sounds like a vegetarian.

    There would be no good outcome to something like that. Some lawyers are far better than others. Hard work is expensive.

    I think a better law would be that all people would get equal representation. The senator who gets drunk and drives would get the same penalties as the ghetto thug that gets drunk and drives.

    Government price fixing always reduces the availability of whatever is being fixed.

    Rent controls reduce the number of rentals available.

    Gasoline price controls reduce the availability of gasoline.

    Lawyer controls would reduce the number of available lawyers.
