Let's say you participated in or read up on research that showed that the Batman had almost had a net positive on crime in Gotham, except for the Joker; if the Joker were out of the picture, every metric shows that Batman has made the city a better place. Now, knowing this, let's say the Joker went on another killing spree, but was caught by Batman again. You're there, with a bound Joker and Batman looming over your shoulder, and a loaded pistol in your hand. The Joker just killed 50 people, and 40 more might not make it, inside of 3 days. The cops are 5 minutes out. The Joker averages 6 months behind bars before he manages to escape most of the time. Batman is aware you know all of this, as well. What do you do?
