According to scripture, this predilection and the accompanying 'due penalty of their error' is a remnant punishment for progenitors knowingly rejecting GOD back when His existence was 'self-evident' through nature, (Romans 1:20-27).
We are each instructed to surrender our natural 'identities' and allow them to die, like a seed and be 'planted' not knowing exactly into what they will burgeon. This is what 'born again' actually means, (John 3:3). However, the Bible explains that GOD is perfectly impartial, so where 'sin' is most abundant, grace is more abundant to match it, (Romans 5:20).
So someone born into a legacy of 'sin' will actually have 'extra' and 'enhanced' opportunities for salvation to make up for the disadvantage, not the other way around.
The special intimacy of 'same gender' relationships is vital to grasping the goal of Christian faith itself called 'brotherly love,' (Greek: 'philadelphia'), which is GOD's 'version' even illustrated between Christ Himself and His 'beloved' John, and also King David and his 'beloved' in the Old Testament, (1 Samuel 18:1-4).
The only thing absent from this powerful intimacy is physical sexual contact and any 'identities' attached to those behaviors and drives.
