What is addictive in junk food is sugar, or rather HALF of sugar called fructose.
Fructose is in most fruit, but fruit is high in fiber, which slows down the absorption in your liver, so some fruit is okay.
Fruit is how you can get your fructose fix (in moderation, kinda like methadone) in lieu of junk food.
Another addictive substance that does the same to your liver is trans fatty acids or trans fats. These just need to go as the addiction is weak to nothing.
Just give them the boot.
ANOTHER addictive substance that does the same to your liver is ethanol (drinking alcohol). This addiction can be VERY strong and often outside help is necessary and often the addiction is forever.
I've quit all of these and smoking nicotine. Nicotine was more difficult than everything else except alcohol, which when I cut it cold turkey, it stopped my body and caused hepatitis encephalitis, nearly killing me and paralyzing me and blinding me for years (99.999999% of the time it kills.)
You can do it.
What kills 99.99999% of the time is the specific things that happened to me, not alcohol or alcohol addiction.
