The Titanic sunk due to a fire that weakened a side of the ship. The fire burned and spread for weeks before noticed. When the Captin found out about this , he decided he would still proceed on to America. Along with the fact of ignorance, and greed of not wanting to lose out on the money already put into this journey, (reputation at risk) He then proceeded to make the ship sail on full speed, Wich indeed made him decide to go a route he was advised otherwise. Stressing further the damages made by the fire.Unfortunately they then struck an ice burg on the side of the ship that the metal or (materials of metal ,iron ect used) was weakened by the fire and journey, Leading up to their dismay.
