    Picture this:

There is a jar with jelly beans filled to the top.

I ask you and a roomfull of other people to guess how many are in the jar and write the answer on a piece of paper.

I also ask everyone in the room to write their favorite song on a piece of paper.

They hand in the papers - there are two piles.

Is it possible there is a correct answer to how many beans are in the jar? The answer is 'Yes'.

Is there a correct answer to the question "Which song is the best?" Of course not.

Beauty is subjective. There is no such thing as measuring beauty. There is outer beauty and inner beauty. The world looks at superficial appearances. To know true beauty you must go deeper.

Yes, actually, it has been done. Scientists took a large number of pictutres of men and women, then had a very large number of men and women rate the people in the pictrures for how beautiful they were. A computer was taught to recognize whether a person was male or female, and then measured how long it took to make that decision. They showed that when the computer would recognize a person's sex quickly, it was also someone people rated as being more beautiful than people the computer took a longer time to recognize. So that computer can look at a person (or their picture), guess what sex that person is, measure how long it took to decide, and that tells the computer how beautiful that person is.

    Beauty based on what exactly?

Yeah it's called symmetry, that is what equates to beauty for the human eye.
