yes. they are under 18, living in parents house, eating food parents buy, parents are paying all the bills... YES Parents have the right to monitor everything.

Yes online , but parents shouldn’t be snooping in their phones. It’s an invasion of privacy, however if the kid has been acting out , being bad and not listening then the parent should have a right to check their phones. It’s just ridiculous to check their kids phones every night

    Oh, absolutely.

Kids that age increasingly get into more trouble, not less, and the parents are responsible for what the kids are doing. As well they should be.

Of course not, 15 year olds are practically adults and well known to not make stupid mistakes to put themselves at risk. They should be given all the freedom and independence they desire ….

I know that is what you want to hear, but the reality is the last years of childhood is when oversight is most important because you are far more independent than you were when you were younger, but lack the experience to keep yourself safe and responsible. The trade off to use a cell and the internet, which is not your God given right, is to accept the oversight. Remember you have it really good to have the freedom you have as that can legally be taken away too.

Especially at that age they should both read and take the phone from time to time.

Since it is already, your question is moot.

Yes. 15 is still a child with no ability to truly understand consequences of actions. That part of the brain is not finished growing until age 25.
